Mary Eddy Jones Signature Gift
In addition to its other giving, the Fred Jones Family Foundation annually awards one $75,000 grant to support the mission of a central Oklahoma nonprofit. Created in honor of the late Mary Eddy Jones, this grant continues her legacy by supporting the causes to which she was so diligently dedicated.
The next Mary Eddy Jones Signature Gift will be awarded in 2024.
Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation
This grant funded improvements to OMRF’s central courtyard. OMRF is an independent, nonprofit biomedical research institute dedicated to understanding and developing more effective treatments for human diseases.
City Care
This grant funded facilities at City Care’s new low-barrier night shelter for people experiencing homelessness in Oklahoma City.
Hearts for Hearing
This grant funded the Mary Eddy Jones Playground at Hearts for Hearing. Hearts for Hearing, located in Oklahoma City, assists children and adults who have hearing loss.
The Children’s Center Rehabilitation Hospital
This grant funded 10 to 12 kinetic sculptures across The Children’s Center campus. The Children’s Center, located in Bethany, OK, provides pediatric medical and rehabilitative services in a compassionate environment.
Oklahoma Hall of Fame
This grant funded the Mary Eddy Jones Sculpture Garden at the Oklahoma Hall of Fame and Gaylord-Pickens Museum. Mary Eddy Jones was a 1978 inductee to the Oklahoma Hall of Fame, located in Oklahoma City.
Peppers Ranch
This grant funded an orchard, honey bee hives, and a pavilion for nature education, organic gardening and canning classes for children. Peppers Ranch, located in Logan County, OK, provides support for children in the Oklahoma foster care system.
Mercy Health Foundation
This grant funded “The Mary Eddy Jones Healing Garden” in Mercy Hospital’s Breast Cancer and Cancer Center. Mercy Hospital is located in Oklahoma City.
Central Oklahoma Humane Society
This grant provided a renovation of the Adoption Center of the Central Oklahoma Humane Society, renamed the Mary Eddy Jones Adoption Center. The Central Oklahoma Humane Society, located in Oklahoma City, helps find loving homes for animals.
YWCA Oklahoma City
This grant provided support for beautification around the YWCA facility and domestic violence victims shelter in Oklahoma City. YWCA Oklahoma City primarily provides support for victims of domestic violence.
